A Brief History

At Beavers Butchers, tradition runs deep. For over 60 years, our family has been behind the counter, serving locals, visitors and holiday-makers alike. Richard and Dawn run the shop today with the support of our brilliant team – many of whom have been with us for years (and some of them are family too!).

 

We’re proud to work with local farmers and suppliers. From Michael Atkinson’s cattle in Kirkby Malzeard to Soanes’ free-range chicken, everything we sell has a story and a Yorkshire stamp of quality.

 

We believe buying from your butcher should feel personal – so whether you’re after your weekly meat pack, something for a special supper, or just a chat and a sausage roll, our door’s always open.

Handmade Burgers

Our burgers are made by hand in the shop every week, using only the freshest ingredients and top-quality meat.

 

Our year-round favourite is the Beef, Caramelised Red Onion & Cracked Black Pepper Burger – a proper classic with a punch of flavour.

 

When the sun’s out, we expand the range with seasonal favourites like Lamb & Mint, Pork & Apple, and rich Venison burgers – perfect for BBQs and summer suppers.
